You shouldn’t need to install anything, it should be in the settings and then it will either give you an option to buy Pro or Home or just let you switch already. I’ve got the blue ‘get’ button. Will it just not do it if there’s not enough space? Its just a small change to the operating system. It makes a change to a line of code somewhere in the operating system. That’s all. I personally hate that option. I’m just glad Microsoft doesn’t make that on by default, or make the setting hard to find.

Alright, I had a big issue with this, but was able to get it fixed with Microsoft’s help. Depending on how your licensed with it will determine the cost. Mine was free. You can search for ‘switch out of S mode’ in the windows store. This is what did the trick for me.

It is a permanent change so make sure you want to do this before you do it. Also as a disclaimer I’m just a dude trying to help so if any thing bad happens to you or device sorry and not my fault :.

Hi Mary If that did not work, then I am sorry, that was about the only chance you had, Microsoft reports that switching out of S Mode is one way and there is not official way to revert to Windows 10 S. In reply to graye’s post on April 25, It just goes to an online page and you type in your account name to remove it.

You may have to confirm your email. The page kink is somewhere in settings or it will show up when you try to install a 3rd party app. It took me 2 times to do it. It’s pretty easy. Help Should I switch out of S-Mode? I recently bought a laptop with windows 10, complete with S-Mode. But I have been thinking maybe I should take it off. As far as I can tell, S-mode protects your pc, but it doesn’t let you download anything except what you find in the Microsoft store.
