Wed Nov 04, pm Hi I’m getting exactly the same thing. Catalina Today, it won’t work. If I keep holding shift there are never dots. If I release shift, a dot appears in the first place I clicked when it didn’t work and thereafter it is several dots behind.

Drag to begin drawing your path. To finish the path and leave it open, release your mouse or trackpad. To finish the path and close it to create a shape, move the path over to its beginning, then stop holding down your mouse or trackpad.

In the artistic selection, it’s the first brush at the top left. Hope that helps! I tinkered with that, dialling it up and back to zero, but no joy. What I have noticed is that if I hold shift and draw, it will force straight lines but only at right angles vertical or horizontal. Even the most complex of shapes are composed of these paths. In Pixelmator Pro, using the Pen and Freeform Pen tools, you can draw vector paths to create your own shapes and save them to your shapes library.

Smooth anchor points feature additional direction handles. You can move them to adjust how much the path curves at the selected anchor point. A vector path can be closed, which means it has no beginning or end like a square or circle shape or it can be open, in which case it is a line with a beginning and end point. After you draw a vector path, you can further refine, remove, or add anchor points.

PicMonkey is an online image editing program that can be accessed from a PC or smartphone.
