Things I have tried: A repair through the control panel — change — repair this seemed like a complete reinstall Deleting my Hotmail account from office and re adding it. First restart your computer. After restart try the following steps. The Word application will open as normal in Administrator Mode. Thx for the input. In “Programs Since the popup says this version is for business customers only and because there may be a charge to upgrade, I’m reluctant to attempt an activation. And, if I do attempt to do so and regret it, how do I revert back to my former Office version? This version has a saved date of May 16, I’ve had this computer for more than a year, fyi. Right click on Word\replace.me and click on ‘Run as administrator’ and then try to activate Office suite and verify the status. b) Right click on Excel, WinWord or PowerPoint and select ‘Run as administrator’, activate the Office suite, then close and re-open the Office.
