It’s like it needs to be reminded that it has a job to do. One click on the Start icon is not enough. It does register all your library books well, and displays them well.

Left-clicking is not enough. It has 3 background colours for the opened book – white, black or sepia, but no green, like the Android app not a problem – of which the white happens to be GREY. There is a slightly different handling of bookmarks, but it doesn’t take much effort to get used to clicking the almost invisible button in the right margin to open the list. Reading the books is as you would expect. In conclusion, this Kindle Reader for a PC does not handle smoothly like the Android app, but once you get used to it, it works well enough, and I do use it a lot on my laptop.

Report abuse. This would be a really fabulous app if only I could delete books from the library all menu. I move titles to imported collections then try and delete the book from the app and I can find no way to do this so the app is cluttered with titles I have read and no longer want showing on the menu. I really like being able to read my books on my PC as it is more comfortable than holding my Kindle since I developed arthritis in my fingers.

I own an original Kindle and in many ways I prefer it because the books just get moved into a collection and are removed from the menu thus reducing the number of books I have to scroll through to find books I haven’t read.
