In reply to iknsw’s post on March 17, I found a new solution, at least for myself. I also checked that the registry AppID is correct. Now my preview works again! PDF Preview Handler in Outlook and Windows Explorer doesn’t – Microsoft Community

 

Ask a new question. Recently I have upgraded from Outlook microsoft outlook 2013 pdf preview handler free Outlook using Office Since then, I am no longer previrw to preview PDF files within the application.

Opening the files works without flaw using the Windows 10 Reader app. In the “Trust Centre” where one is able to specify which files can be previewed, there is no mention of PDF files. What could be the cause of this issue? Searching the forum or the web I’ve not been able to find others having the same issue.

So, I don’t really microspft to install Ffee Reader. But it seems Microsoft didn’t really think this through between their Windows 10 team and com port driver for windows 10 Outlook team. My recommendation is to install Adobe even though I don’t personally want to do that.
