Child tax credit FAQ. Windows Windows. Most Popular. New Releases. Desktop Enhancements. Networking Software. Trending from CNET. Free Launch Bar Free. Speed up the launching of your applications. Launch Free to try. Add a stationary dock to your Windows 8 or 10 Start Screen. True Launch Bar. System requirement:. We recommend. Text Accelerator – convert, transform, insert text with hotkeys. In our case, we are going to use the already existing Quick Launch folder.

As soon as you click on the New Toolbar option, Windows open the folder selection window. Here, enter the following path in the Folder field and press Enter. The above action will take you to the already existing Quick Launch folder. When you click on the select folder button, a new toolbar called Quick Launch will be added to the taskbar.

To see all the shortcuts and programs in the quick launch toolbar, click on the double arrow icon next to it. You will see a flyout menu with all the shortcuts. I’ve also been having that issue for quite a while in Windows 10, but it seemed to happen randomly, maybe after an update was installed. I used the method of backing up the quick start data from the registry in a separate file and re-import that file each time I needed to restore the toolbar, but I needed to reposition it on the toolbar, and re-order the icon manually each time as well.

What’s even more annoying is that each time someone posts a valid question on this forum, someone tagged as “Microsoft” makes that useless generic “install updates, run scan, error message?

Year, i have the strictly same issue and there is no working fix for 1,5 years of my search here and any other places. I use the Sleep Mode on my PC and don’t need to reboot it so often.

But in case of reboot the Quick Launch toolbar can randomly dissapear. And yes, Microsoft answers are only “install, sfc scan, dism” and nothing else.

I did all of this and more else – no effect. Maybe not many users use the old Quick Launch or experienced such problem, so we can’t see any usefull workaround or fix from Microsoft Seems to me that it should be easy to create a Quick Launch toolbar that does not “disappear”. Create a new folder in your data partition or folder called Quick Launch. Add shortcuts to it by dragging and dropping. Then create new toolbar click right in taskbar, toolbars , point to your Quick Launch folder.

Then if you want, move it to the left of the task bar. If you lock the taskbar, it should stay there. Even if you don’t lock it, it only occasionally will accidentally get moved from the left, and is easy enough to restore.

I cannot see any reason why it should ever disappear accidentally, but maybe I am missing something. My desktop is as below with Quick Launch and Start both shown. You may think Start is irrelevant given the W10 start window, but I still find it useful. The only workaround I’ve found is to restore the language bar to the desktop.

That’s not ideal. Until a few weeks ago, I could have the language bar and quick launch bar together on the taskbar with no problems. The quick launch bar has been disappearing consistently since the so-called Fall Creators’ Update. If I put the language bar in the top right corner of my screen, it integrates into the title bar of old-style programs, like Word
